Hillsboro Internet | Thurston Shooting Anniversary | Homeless Flimmakers

Courtesy of Springfield Police

Hillsboro could become the largest city in Oregon to try municipal internet. Hillsboro Mayor Steve Callaway tells us about the plan.

Twenty years ago, Kip Kinkel walked into Thurston High School in Springfield with two knives and three loaded guns. He killed two of his classmates and injured 24 others. We hear from Don Stone, who was vice principal of the high school at the time, and Betina Lynn, who was shot twice that day.

Portland nonprofit Outside The Frame teaches filmmaking to homeless youth. Currently they are working on a project with Portland Art Museum to film and interview other homeless folks. Nili Yosha, executive director of Outside The Frame, and peer mentor Joey Whiting join us.
