According to a press release, the Women's March on Eureka is planned for Saturday, January 20, 2018. The event is set to start out with a rally at 1 p.m. and the march will being at 2 p.m. All events are taking place in Eureka at the C Street Plaza.
In a statement, organizers for the Women's March on Eureka say they believe women's rights are human rights and also listed the importance of inclusivity within the community.
"We must create a society in which women--including black women, Native women, poor women, immigrant women, disabled women, Muslim women, non-binary folks, lesbian queer and trans women--are free and able to care for and nurture their families, however they are formed, in safe and healthy environments free from structural impediments."
Both events also have focus on key movements that happened throughout 2017 and early 2018 which include "Get Out the Vote!, Voices Must Be Heard, #MeToo and #TimesUp and Reclaiming Our Democracy."
