The noted dissident will talk about his new book, Demand the Impossible! A Radical Manifesto at Northtown Books on Friday

Brenda Starr talks with HSU assistant professor of Psychology Dr. Amber Gaffney and student Sam Woods about the surveys  they are conducting with fellow student Berkeley Kijsriopas at both the Republican and Democratic Conventions.

KHSU's Homepage spoke with Josh Barnes, local stand-up comedian and the headliner of the group of funny people taking over the stage of the Ferndale Repertory Theater Saturday July 23rd.  Hosted by James Stephen this evening of comedy will feature five local talents: Nando Molina, Josh Barnes, Matt Redbeard, Kim Hodges and Jessica Grant. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Doors open at 7:15 pm and the show starts at 8 pm. Parental discretion is advised. 

Dr. Eloi Hoopman and Susan Wardrip, RN talked with KHSU on the Homepage about immunizing children before the school year begins and the changes to the rules eliminating the "Personal Belief Exemption" for child vaccines after California's SB 277 became law.

Dr. Hoopman is a physician with the Open Door Community Health Centers. Wardrip is a nurse and the immunization coordinator for Humboldt County Department of Health and Human Services.
