Building Empathy at the Homelessness & Housing Insecurity Summit

Humboldt State University and College of the Redwoods are hosting the North Coast Homelessness & Housing Insecurity Summit at CR’s main Eureka campus on April 25th. The daylong summit offers presentations about the scope of the homelessness and housing insecurity, local action, causes and contributing factors of homelessness, and how to expand empathy and awareness.


There will also be a performance of the Arcata Playhouse original production, A Woman’s Place Is In Her Home. Jennifer Maguire from HSU's Social Work Department, Kintay Johnson, Director, Special Programs at College of the Redwoods and summit coordinator, Lynette Mullen came by the KHSU Magazine to talk about it.
