graduate of the Appalachian Program from West Virginia's Davis & Elkins College. Kater’s debut, Nine

Hailing from rural Saskatchewan, singer KacyAnderson and fingerstyle guitarist Clayton Linthicum (they are cousins) are making their U.S. debut with their fourth overall album, Strange County, recalling contemporaries Gillian Welch-Dave Rawlings and Casey Musgraves, with impressive results. Grammy nominated vocalist-composer Rene Marie delivers an
excellent new work, The Sound Of Red, which consists of all-original compositions and is co-produced
by Marie herself. The Sound Of Red also features bassist Elias Bailey, drummer Quentin Baxter and
pianist John Chin, with guest appearances by trumpeter Etienne Charles and saxophonist Diego

Contest for unsigned, undiscovered talent. Even though they didn’t win, Seratones snagged a record
deal with Fat Possum, delivering their superb debut, Get Gone, a terrific combination of garage rock,
