Lorna Bryant hosted Thursday Night Talk: The Race Beat for discussion on  women in positions of power and leadership. Guests include two women in leadership roles at Humboldt State University - Christine Mata, Associate Dean of Students and Dr. Cheryl L. Johnson, Executive Director of the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. As women of color, we will discuss how sexism, feminism, ageism and racism may intersect or collide while holding leadership positions.

Women's March Takes on Year Two

For a second year in a row, the Women's March in Eureka dominated the streets of Old Town this weekend as thousands showed up to the C Street Market Square with signs, pink hats, and resilience. In what was known last year in 2017 as the largest march in Humboldt County, this year's event had similar numbers this year with approximately four to 5,000 people participating. 

Event organizer Rae Robison said this year the march was about bringing women of all walks of life together and supporting them.

Griffin is a two time Emmy and Grammy award winning comedian and author who is currently on her 80 city nationwide tour "Like a Boss." She talked on the Wednesday Homepage.
